The popularity of the Rock Point Day Camp has created a need to add another session. Rock Point Camp is held at the Rock Point Center (formerly known as the Bishop Booth Conference Center) in Burlington, Vermont on the shore of Lake Champlain.
Each morning begins with free play while everyone arrives. The community gathers for our morning circle where we give thanks for the day, sing a song, read a story or poem and talk about the theme for the day. The morning program is introduced which includes nature and spiritual exploration and outdoor adventure.
Campers at Rock Point have a full schedule of activities each day. There are times of free play, and choice activity time. Afternoon choice periods include swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, arts and crafts, fire building, drama, journaling, edible plants instruction, gardening, hiking, sports and games...to name a few!
A healthy and camper-friendly lunch is served in Booth dining hall. All snacks are provided. Due to food allergies, we ask that lunches or snacks not be brought from home. Please contact the director if your child has special food needs.
All campers, counselors and volunteers participate in Capers which include recycling, setting tables, etc. Two daily community circles offer an opportunity to begin and end each day with gratitude and personal intention.
